Jeannie West earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education from Michigan State University and a post-graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from Wayne State University. She has spent her professional years as an Occupational Therapist working with the mentally ill and with handicapped children, but has maintained her interest in painting. 

Her work with Great Turtle Creations in watercolor demonstrates a more whimsical approach, while her personal work in watercolor, acrylic, and mixed-media is more typically impressionistic or abstract. She enjoys the creative play of doing custom work with Great Turtle Creations for special sites and occasions and also the challenge of an ever-expanding art experience as it enriches her life.
